New Year, New Look

ESSDACK has been working hard to update our image. Our new logo has bright, bold colors, I love the new look, (of course, I'm kinda partial to it). A new fresh look for the website is on the horizon, change is good.  The guys from Luminous Neon came out today to install our new sign. Now we not only have a new look virtually, we will have a new look physically. Take a peek below to watch the installation. WOOOO HOOOO!

Stumpy - the high-flying shark

OK, so over the Christmas holidays I saw a tweet from someone talking about these toys. They were helium filled, remote-controlled balloons in the shape of fish. More specifically, the choice was a clown fish or a shark. Upon first seeing them and looking at the website www.airswimmers.com  I remember thinking this was about the dumbest idea ever.

The balloons are about 57 inches long and 36 inches high. It is not recommended that the balloons be used out of doors and the average house probably would not accommodate the fish very well. HOWEVER.... my office would be the PERFECT fish bowl for these guys. I decided we already had enough clowns at the ESSDACK office and opted for the shark.  I found one on ebay and placed the order.

When I opened the box and saw all the parts and more than three steps for assembly I knew I was going to need help. I'm just not a very good tab A into slot B kinda girl. So, today I took the box full of parts to the office and asked for some assistance putting it together.

Too many parts for me!

After going to the party supply store and getting the shark filled with helium I returned to the office and the we turned it into a team building exercise.

The maiden voyage

It was not the easiest task but it was a hoot working together. We named him Stumpy and hopefully he will live a long and floaty life in the ESSDACK office.
